Last Sunday 24th November 2024, Feast of Christ the King, Rev. Fr. Shola Atolagbe, Director of SMA Promotion Office and her assistant, Ms Maggie Ibru (SMA Lay Associate) were at Saint Denis Catholic Church, Barriga in Lagos to promote the 2025 SMA-OLA Calendar. Both zealous mission promoters were accompanied by SMA Seminarians from the Formation House in Bodija Ibadan. Before Saint Denis Catholic Church, Fr. Kishak Gonap, SMA arrived at Mont Thabor, Senegal to attend an international conference on interreligious dialogue organized by the Diocese of Thiès in collaboration with the Institut Des Etudes Orietales (IDEO) in Cairo. The theme of the three days conference (11th -13th November 2024) was “Le Dialogue Islamo-Chrétien, une chance pour l’Afrique” (Christian Muslim Dialogue, a chance for Africa) was attended by 40 participants experts in Islamology from 15 nationalities. Fr Michael died peacefully with his family around him at the SMA House, African Missions, Blackrock Road on Tuesday, 5 November 2024. Brief biography After completing his secondary education in Cork. It was no great surprise when Michael decided to join the African Missions following in the steps of his uncle, Fr Con O’Driscoll, SMA, who was a missionary in the Midwest of Nigeria.
