In October 2024, Rev. Fr. Parfait Gbolohoe, SMA resumed his post as Parish Priest of St. Peter Catholic Church, Agbowa in the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos.

Located in a town 35 kilometer north of Epe Division and founded in 1944 (that is 80 years ago), Saint Peter’s Catholic Church Agbowa-Ikosi, can still be considered a Primary Evangelization Mission. In 2016 the mission was elevated to the state of a Quasi Parish and Fr. Augustine Onwuzurike SMA was the first SMA to be Parish Priest of the Parish. The status of a parish was acquired in 2020. Fr. Onwuzu rike was succeeded in 2022 by Fr. Henri Silue Kifori, SMA. The current Parish Priest is Fr. Parfait Fr. Parfait Gbolohoe, SMA. Other SMA Priests who have served at the Parish include Fr. Amour Gandaho. He is currently Associate Priest in Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Gowon Estate in Lagos.

The occasion was when I accompanied the new parish priest, Fr. Parfait Gbolohoe, SMA, (first from right) to the parish.

Second from left, beside me, is Fr. Amour SMA from Benin Republic (the present assistant priest at St. Joseph parish Gowon Estate). He came from Kaduna and was asked to help out for like two weeks pending Fr. Parfait’s arrival.
