The SMA House Orita-Challenge, Ibadan, Oyo State was built in 1958. It served as the Regional House (Headquarters) for the SMA Nigerian South Region from 1958 to 2009.
After the creation of the SMA District-in-Formation of the Bight of Benin the SMA House Orita-Challenge became it’s Headquarters and so doubled as the Headquarters of the SMA Nigerian South Region and the District-in-Formation of the Bight of Benin till 2010 when the Nigeria South was merged with the Nigeria North to form one single SMA Nigerian Region with the headquarters in Abuja.
So after over fifty years the SMA House Orita-Challenge became obviously due for renovation and enlargement. This renovation and enlargement began mid 2015 and is still on going due to financial difficulties but have reached an advanced stage, thanks to our supporters. More is still needed to complete the work started and nothing is ever too little.
